NCMA teaming with Discovery Place for exhibit development

02/02/2010

The NCMA is currently working with Discovery Place in Charlotte, NC to help design new interactive exhibits which highlight the link between science and motorsports.  We are also helping Discovery Place find volunteers to work in the lab exhibits.

If you are interested in becoming a Discovery Place volunteer, please join us for Night at the Museum on February 18 from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. to explore opportunities to become a part of our team as a volunteer.  We are looking for creative, enthusiastic individuals who are excited about science to help in transforming Discovery Place into a Museum gone “live.”  With the addition of three innovative public lab spaces, we need individuals who are passionate, friendly and ready to engage visitors in the wonder of science.

The new labs provide diverse avenues for exploring matter and energy, uncovering connections between humans and the natural world and developing an appreciation for biodiversity.  Facilitated by experts, the lab spaces provide a unique place for hands-on scientific research and inquiry.

If you are interested in attending Night at the Museum please call 704.372.6261 x300.  RSVP is appreciated.  We thank you for considering sharing your time, expertise, talent and energy with our community.
